My spatula tongue turns words into omelettes
The phrases I can’t stomach, my mouth vomits
The comets comment on my star-like quality

My runaway brain makes tracks out of raw cuts
Rehashed scraps and a tall cup of Starbucks
Caffeine plus rap fiend and a laptop
Brew hip hop that’s hot to the last drop
Cuz I'm going for mad props
While growing a cash crop
Sprout like a weed through the cracks in the black top
Spout heat with a backbeat as a backdrop
Criticize wack slop with a bit of smack talk
But rap pop’s not hip hop’s last stop
It’s just something new to amuse the youth so what’s the use
Of verbal abuse true rap though it may dilute
Recycles and reboots in an endless loop
And to tell the truth
It gets spruced up by the youth who give it a boost
That's what we need
Fresh faced farmers planting seed
Not grumpy old men like left and me
Especially when lyricists seem few and far between
So it’s up to you
